If you like adventure and sports in close contact with nature and want an adrenalin-charged exciting experience, then rafting in Umbria on the Corno river and the Sentino river will take your breath away!

Before the start downstream, you will be given all the equipment needed for the activity and a qualified instructor will show you how to use it correctly. He’ll also explain all the rules that have to be respected and will show you the behavioural guidelines to follow during the trip.

The instructor will be with you and the other participants during the whole descent, which will take place aboard a special raft, providing commands and guidance needed to navigate better during your adventure aboard the raft.

Rafting is a great way to take on a challenge: you’ll tackle the river’s fast moving waters and feel strongly motivated to keep control of the boat and overcome the obstacles that arise during the descent. Rafting is a continuous challenge that provides a strong adrenaline rush and it’s also an excellent opportunity to work as a team together with the other crew members!

The route on the Corno river is about 7 km long. The descent is moderately difficulty due to the presence of third-level rapids, winding along a route through dramatic and unspoilt nature. You’ll be surrounded by lush vegetation and be able to admire the majesty of the mountains at close range and perceive the uniqueness of the landscape from a fascinating perspective. You can also admire one of the most magical stretches of the route, the Gole di Biselli (gorges); here the current of the Corno river becomes less intense until it subsides, the water flows smoothly, and seems to give passers-by all the time they need to admire and contemplate the grandeur of nature, the overhanging rocky cliffs, the caves carved out by the erosive effect of the water and the ruins of the Roman bridge.

The rafting route down the Sentino river, which runs between Umbria and the Marche, is also about 7 km long and consists of a moderately difficult route. It’s possible to raft down mainly in the winter months, in periods when the rains abound and the river reaches a good, constant flow. You’ll cross the lively waters of the Sentino river, feel them splash up vigorously against you and leave you breathless.

Your energy and your adrenalin will power your paddle so that you can direct the boat, and you’ll feel the great satisfaction of rowing and being an active part of the crew. This adventure will allow you to discover the pristine nooks and crannies of the Parco Monte Cucco – which is also famous for its Frasassi Caves – from a fascinating perspective.
