One of the oldest and most deeply rooted culinary traditions in Umbria is certainly the making of chocolate. This region’s specialities are famous throughout Italy and beyond. Its reputation stems, above all, from a dense network of artisans who have handed down their ancient know-how for generations, expanding, changing, researching and innovating to propel themselves into the society of today with the freshness and enthusiasm of those whose work is instilled with passion and pure dedication.
This experience is a counterpart to the tour of the factory and workshop, but with the addition of a tasting experience paired with some Umbrian wines. You will discover that it is a cliché to believe that chocolate should only be paired with dessert wines or spirits such as Rum. There are, instead, numerous ways to enjoy a tantalizing sensory experience even with drier wines, usually combined with meat or fish dishes.
