Umbria is the land of the Etruscans. The evidence lies in a whole series of built structures and remains that strongly typify the territory: walls, arches, wells, quarries, tombs and necropolises remind us that the Etruscans were one of the most ancient and powerful civilisations in Italy. Most of these structures are still visible and well preserved, such as the ancient city walls of Perugia, its Etruscan Arch and the well in the upper part of the city, or the important tombs of the magnificent Palazzone Necropolis and the Hypogeum of the Volumni. There are also remains in ancient Orvieto of the Tempio del Belvedere (Belvedere Temple). This infinite treasure chest is located in the magnificent setting of Umbria’s lush green hills and ancient villages.
Cycling along this route around Etruscan Umbria will be a uniquely thrilling experience. - In general, anything that is not listed under the item “The Deal Includes” IS NOT included.
Additional information:
- This itinerary requires some basic bicycle training;
- If you desire so, we can recommend activities or places to visit nearby for your free time;
- This tour has scheduled destinations, but our guides are always happy to help you with any request. We can be flexible regarding meeting, check-in, and meal hours. We’ll do our best to make everybody happy;
- This itinerary can be purchased from a minimum of two to a maximum of 20 participants.
- If the room is occupied only by one person an increase of 150 euros for the standard version and 250 euros for the premium version on the single price applies
