The Way of St Francis by horse in 2 days
This tour is the short version of the 3-day option. You will be immersed in nature for two consecutive days, but always accompanied by your faithful horse, who will enable you to discover breath-taking trails and bridle paths.
Along this itinerary, the Way of St Francis by horse, we will be focussing, in particular, on the rural and food-and-wine aspect of the activity. The camp side lunches will not just be simple packed lunches: our staff will set up a real countryside culinary experience, with barbequed meat and vegetables or other dishes depending on the season. Dinner will instead be at a farm stay and comfortably seated, where you can taste local products enhanced by the most famous Umbrian recipes, thanks to the expertise of the chefs who will cook for you.
Departure is scheduled in the morning from a riding stable near Umbertide after a short briefing and assignment of a horse. We will be riding in the direction of Gubbio, where our next ‘agritourism’ farm stay will await us for dinner, while lunch will be enjoyed along the way. After breakfast the next morning, we will head towards Valfabbrica, located in the hills behind Assisi, again following the Way of St Francis. Here the itinerary will end. A car will be waiting for you to take you back to the starting point.

- 1 night in a typical italian “Agriturismo” (renoveted farmhouse) attrezzato per ricovero cavalli

- In general, anything that is not listed under the item “The Deal Includes” IS NOT included.
Additional information:
- This itinerary requires a basic horse riding experience;
- This tour has scheduled destinations, but our guides are always happy to help you with any request. We can be flexible regarding meeting, check-in, and meal hours. We’ll do our best to make everybody happy;
- Everyday there will be around 5/6 hours of horse riding;
- This itinerary is only for over 14 years old people;
- This itinerary can be purchased from a minimum of 4 to a maximum of 20 participants.
- If the room is occupied only by one person an increase of 50 euros.
