It is located in the North of the town, in <strong>via del seminario<\/strong>. The Palace was built by the <em>Corradi, <\/em>a noble family then married into the <em>Landi. <\/em>In 1712, the building was acquired by the Bishop of Todi, <em>Filippo Antonio Gualtiero <\/em>from Orvieto. From 1711 to 1720, the Palace turned into the seminary of the town, replacing the older one, which was not adequate enough by then.<\/p>\n<p>The building is also called <strong>Palazzo del Vignola<\/strong>, whom the majestic <strong>travertine gate <\/strong>decorating the facade is attributed to<strong>.<\/strong> It was changed several times, until the latest internal and external renovation works carried out by Bishop <em>Alfonso Maria de Santis<\/em> in 1954.<\/p>\n<p>The Palace was the protagonist of some Todi tragic news, as well: on 25 April 1982, a devastating fire caused the death of thirty-two people, whose memory is kept in a gravestone placed on the main facade.<\/p>\n<p>Currently the Palace is mainly used as an <strong>exhibition centre. <\/strong>The <strong>antique<\/strong> exhibition is the most popular one: taking place every year at the end of April, the majority of collectors, not only from Todi, long for it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Palace is considered one among the best samples of the late 16th century architecture of private buildings.
