The artist, who was of German descent, was captivated by Citt\u00e0 della Pieve and its beauty and found <strong>profound<\/strong> <strong>inspiration<\/strong> there, so he decided to move to the town. He spent the rest of his life there, until his untimely death.<\/p>\n<p>Kossuth was an excellent <em>violinist<\/em> and also became the <em>conductor of the Teatro della Scala in Milan<\/em>; art was his <em>raison d\u2019<\/em><em>\u00ea<\/em><em>tre<\/em> and he moved between <strong>music<\/strong>, <strong>painting<\/strong> and <strong>sculpture<\/strong>, even though it was in the latter that he was able to express himself with greatest passion.<\/p>\n<p>At the heart of Kossuth\u2019s artistic production is the <strong>human figure<\/strong>, which is represented in its utmost <em>beauty<\/em> and <em>perfection<\/em>, but is often held in suspense, in unfathomable balance, thus challenging reality. His works take the form of sculptures, drawings and paintings depicting nudes, representing mainly dancers, musicians and writers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Spazio Kossuth<\/strong> is an area dedicated to the artist and his works and was inaugurated on 30<sup>th<\/sup> May\u00a0 2015, six years after his death. This project was made possible by the <em>Associazione Ankam\u00f2<\/em>, which strongly believed in it, the <em>municipality of Citt\u00e0 della Pieve<\/em> and the <em>Archdiocese of Perugia-Citt\u00e0 della Pieve<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The headquarters are located in the rooms of the Bishop\u2019s Palace, which has been completely renovated following a long period of closure. Spread out over various rooms, the museum is a fantastic showcase of <em>contemporary art<\/em> and Kossuth\u2019s works \u2013 curated in the minutest detail \u2013 are able to transmit <em>music<\/em>, <em>dynamism<\/em>, <em>energy<\/em> and <em>emotions<\/em> through the <strong>figurative arts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Art can transmit deep feelings or emotions to those who know how to look and a great master like Wolfgang Alexander Kossuth gave Citt\u00e0 della Pieve, its inhabitants and those who have already visited it, a large number of works to admire and to be moved by.
