Unweit vom ber\u00fchmten Leprosorium San Lazzaro, das besser erhalten ist und heute noch besichtigt werden kann, ist der kleine Ort bereits zerst\u00f6rt, auch wenn seine anf\u00e4nglichen Spuren noch vorhanden sind. Tats\u00e4chlich sind die Formen des befestigten Ortes, der am Hang des H\u00fcgels verwurzelt ist, noch sichtbar.<\/p>\n<p>Ein Gro\u00dfteil der Geb\u00e4ude wurde durch die zahlreichen Erdbeben in diesem Gebiet zerst\u00f6rt. Das letzte Erdbeben, das f\u00fcr die vollst\u00e4ndige Zerst\u00f6rung des Ortes sorgte, ereignete sich 1997. Infolge der St\u00f6\u00dfe ging auch die kleine Kirche San Cristoforo des Ortes sowie die an sie angeschlossene Sakristei kaputt.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Auf einer H\u00f6he von ca. 600 Metern \u00fcber dem Meer, im hohen Valnerina-Tal, an der Westseite des Flusses Nera, befand sich der kleine Ort Belforte.
